I was contacted through LinkedIN by their internal recruiter who believed the role would be a good fit. Having done some research on the company, it did sound like the role would fit and would be enjoyable. However, research on Glassdoor suggested that their employee management and hiring process left a lot to improve on. I decided to try anyway.
The first interview was an overview of the company and their working paths. In this I was asked how much I was currently being paid, and when I said, as a good faith gesture, was told it was too much and told that my skills did not match. When I brushed it off and asked more about the role that the recruiter had told me about, they were unable to tell me.
The second interview was just as long, and had a number of standard questions. They were still unable to tell me about the role they had in mind. They also asked why I hadn't had any job offers in my search and proceeded to state that I had problems with people and my soft skills. When someone is applying for jobs after COVID, they do not need others rubbing the salt in the wound.
Overall, their recruiting is rude, unprofessional and lacks empathy. They take multiple interviews, and have no role in mind when inviting for interview. Their first two interview give standard corporate information that could have been written in a pdf. If this is what their hiring team are like, who are representing the company, I would hesitate to work there.
