The interview was ok, but the recruiter told me they would get back to me in a few days and let me know the status of my application since the hiring manager was trying to bring candidates in for a final round. He also said that if I don't hear from him that it's ok if I reach out asking about my applicant status. Friday comes and I hear nothing so I send an email asking about my application status. A week goes back and I still hear nothing so I send a 2nd email asking for an update with no response. Finally, I received an email a few days afterwards being informed that I was not selected. I'm fine with being selected as that's a part of the job search process, but I thought it was very unprofessional to at least not respond to my emails providing some update. Personally, that left a bad taste in my mouth and I definitely recommend they do a better job at communicating with candidates and being truthful on when they will update candidates. I would've rather the recruiter say if something is going on behind the scenes or something but to not respond to my emails after being told I would hear something in a few days and to not respond to my emails was very unprofessional.
