Pretty disheartened about this one. Was reached out to by a recruiter so I thought I would go ahead and give it a shot. Went through an initial screening with the recruiter consisting of some basic questions. Was then asked to submit some apex code for a coding activity. First interview was with a tech lead where we discussed the code and other relevant experience. This went well and I proceeded to a 2nd interview with the manager for business analysts. Had an opportunity to ask some questions about the company as well as what they were looking for in terms of a developer. Moved on to a third interview with the VP of the customer success team. In between the 2nd and 3rd interview, I was asked to complete a personality and aptitude test which I was told they could not share details of the results for. Went through the 3rd interview where it was treated more as an opportunity for me to ask any clarification questions about the company and the position. At this point I’m feeling very confident. All the interviewers were very personable and easy to talk to and as I learned more about the company I got more and more excited as I thought that this would be a tremendous step forward in my career. After what seemed like a very long weekend to hear back from the recruiter, my excitement came to a halt when told that they were looking for someone with more experience. For a growing company looking to expand, I guess they weren’t ready to expand enough. It really felt like I was strung along for the last 4 weeks just to be put on hold. Overall, I really like the company culture and what they stand for, but incredibly disappointed with the outcome.

I had an initial phone screen that went well and was then given a coding problem to solve. The problem had very vague requirements which I was told is intentional so they can see how candidates will interpret the requirements. I spent approximately eight hours on the coding challenge including a write up of the assumptions I made, design decisions, trade-offs, etc. After I submitted the solution to the coding challenge I never heard from them again. I followed up a week later to see if there was any feedback and got no response. I don't mind not advancing to the next phase but I thought the lack of any follow up communication was unprofessional.
