First you have to undergo virtual test that highlights how you speak, next you are needed to test your camera, microphone with headset and your bandwidth test, After that the company will add you to the skype group for schedule of Interview through skype, sending of credentials and manual checking of your device. When successfully submitted and passed the manual checking, you then now will proceed to mandatory learning of do's and dont's, policies and etc. then afterwards you have to answer quizzes regarding the modules within 20hrs (3days max) next is scheduling of NTT demo where you will have a mock demo with your trainor, next is CE demo where you will have mock demo with a chinese evaluator then they will rate you if you pass or fail, next is OB On Boarding where you'll have 3 hr session with your coach and explain do's and don'ts, then waiting to be launched as new teacher; Then Congratulations hired as 51TALK TEACHER
1. Find a good location for the call.
After signing up, expect a call within 24 to 48 hours. Take the call in a quiet location that’s private and comfortable, avoiding interruptions or noise interference. Be ready to state your full name, birthday, and highest educational attainment.
2. Be prepared.
Since you are being interviewed for an English teaching opportunity, make sure to speak in English at all times. Prepare a short introduction about yourself and talk about your work or teaching experiences with confidence and enthusiasm. Also be ready to get asked about your technical requirements.
> A desktop or laptop computer operating in Windows 7 or above.
> A wired DSL Internet connection of at least 5 mbps.
> A headset with an extended microphone and noise-cancelling feature.
> A high-definition external or integrated webcam with at least 720p resolution.
> A quiet, clutter-free, and well-lit space in your home with plain white background.
3. Be in the moment.
During the interview, actively listen to your interviewer’s questions. Concentrate on what your interviewer is saying and keep your mind from drifting off.
4. Brush up on your communication skills.
Regardless of the quality of the connection, make sure to speak clearly and deliberately. Practice pronouncing the letters in the alphabet, enunciate your words properly, and provide answers in complete sentences.
5. Put your teacher face on.
You are almost there. Now is the time to show your interviewer your willingness to teach children. Prepare for situational questions like cheering up a sad kid or singing nursery rhymes.
You are now all set to answer the phone. You never get a second chance to make a first impression, they say, so these tips will surely help you pass your 51Talk interview. Always remember that preparation is key. In light of the world’s current health situation, a fresh start from home is an opportunity that is too good to miss.
The experience was both exhilarating and daunting due to my limited background in the field. However, I was able to authentically express my capabilities and personal attributes, which ultimately led to my successful recruitment.
