I was given 2 questions to answer and I moved onto the next step, had a phone call scheduled but the interviewer "had" to reschedule. They can't keep a commitment, not moving forward with the company. I also asked a series of questions about the process and my questions were ignored.

Question 1
1) If I go to a site like gmail.com, I can login and see my email. If I close my browser and turn off my computer for a few days, the next time I turn it on and visit gmail.com it shows my email without me having to login again. How does this work?
2) What's a hash table and how does it work? What's a collision? How does a hash table handle collisions?

Everyone I met was wonderful. Everyone on the panel seemed very personable and passionate about the company's mission. It was a pleasant process overall however I think there is scope for improvement on the recruiting team's side, they don't share their work phone numbers during the process and their turn around time was on the slower side. Unfortunately for me I did not get an offer but did receive actionable feedback. I hope to reapply soon.

No questions from traditional coding challenge sites like leetcode or hackerrank. They tested for practical knowlege and asked questions based on your experience so far.

The engineering manager called and asked about what my interests are. He then proceeded to introduce some of the works his team and other teams were working on. We discussed a bit about the resume at the end.

I made the mistake by doing their coding challenge without talking to someone first. I applied for the senior software engineer title through their website and I received a coding challenge from their recruiter. I did the coding challenge, which took me a few hours, and submitted it. I did not get any response for 1 week. So I emailed them to see if there were any updates. The recruiter emailed me back saying they have received it, and is still in the reviewing process. 2 weeks pass and still no answer. I emailed them for an update, and finally, I get an automated message saying they are not going to move forward with me.
I had the desire to work here, and it sucks that I did the coding challenge for nothing. It would be nice to get a response in a reasonable time frame. Next time, I won't make the same mistake by doing the challenge without having to talk to someone first.
