Avantages
I love working in places where I can get involved in challenging, impactful work that makes a tangible difference and that has certainly been the case here. Upon joining UMe, I knew the business was going through a transformation but it has been so rewarding to see how much value I can bring to the organisation. My expertise has been acknowledged and my opinions have been heard. It's not all smooth sailing, no transformation is, but we have a mission and it's a very collaborative environment in which I also have autonomy to apply myself. Working in a fast-paced, challenging setting isn't for everyone, especially if it wasn't like that before, but the people I have worked with so far here are passionate about what they do and their teams.
Inconvénients
The flexible, hybrid working model is great for work-life balance but means you don't see as many people in the office and I haven't made as many friends although everyone I have met have been lovely. As a new joiner, it would be nice to meet more colleagues, especially from other teams.
