Avantages
Working for Target is certainly great for many people. They provide the opportunity for you to grow and develop good work habits, people skills, and a thick skin. Target, and all retail jobs will test you every day. However, you will gain valuable experience that enables you to "pad the stats" so to speak. Your co-workers are the reasons you come back everyday. You meet some fantastic people from all walks of life, and can make some lifelong friends. There are always opportunities for advancement within your local store or transferring to nearby ones.
Inconvénients
Work. Life. Balance. Management are rarely on the same page with each other. Too many departments do things differently and there is not a SOP that can be pointed too. Each manager, both mid-level and executive, has a way of doing things and they are all different or nuanced somehow. This simply becomes a challenge of managing up, and occasionally pushing back on your bosses. Sometimes egos and work politics come into play. Which is always fun... : /
