Avantages
Flexible remote work, work from home stipend (150/quarter), there's a good deal of freedom of autonomy in this position in particular, provided there are results. Despite what I say in the cons, it's not the worst. It's a job.
Inconvénients
The technology stack was old 15 years ago and the organization has made next to no progress in making fixes to it. They've tried a full rewrite and scrapped it, they're trying to strangle the aging application into 2010 and it's way more of a challenge than they expected, despite the obvious red flags. There are no promotions and no room for advancement. Promised an 8% bonus then moved the goalpost (company goals, bonuses have nothing to do with individual achievements) Raises are budgeted at 4% across depts,meaning you get your part of that 4% increase budget, hopefully you'll be a department of 1?
