Avantages

- Really motivated people, all have very Type A personalities, very driven and interesting to talk to - Lots of opportunity for growth/promotion with tenure - Many opportunities to go outside your role or comfort zone - Good leadership and support

Inconvénients

- Very under-resourced, there's an expectation from clients that Rippling is the end all be all solution for HR, so they have high expectations for success and what the product should be able to do, this leaves many opportunities for one-off projects or escalations with clients that will eat up time - Not customer success, closer to customer experience or support: the role is presented as Customer Success and relationship management, however, it is more on the technical support side of that coin than on the relationship side. The account manager handles the renewal contract and the relationship, you're like their "quarterback" for issues and questions - Escalation project management workflow: the workflow of raising concerns as escalations to get things done and prioritize things is, in my opinion, a way to place unnecessary emphasis and stress on issues in order to get things done and create urgency and force collaboration - Product & sales gaps: the GTM-forward strategy works for hitting numbers, but there's a clear gap in features available from the product team and what Sales is meant to sell, meaning that from a client relationship standpoint, you're expected to fill gaps in service and tend to clients who don't pay for what they end up getting. - Managing customer support: You will be pinging, escalating, and working in Jira cases regularly on a daily basis. They're mostly offshore teams and are always on a different time zone. They don't follow the SLA as marketed by Rippling and it causes many issues included over payments, refunds, missed fees, and these all are technically on the client to manage, but Rippling won't identify them until month's later - Remote work - be wary of the zoning and where you live, it has a large effect on pay and Rippling will not amend these zones without a large lengthy case against them

Avantages

High-caliber team, product managers who listen to customer feedback, amazing leadership, compelling work. Great fit for accountants who want to interact with customers in a scalable function instead of living in spreadsheets and dealing with dated technology and processes.

Inconvénients

Expectations are high, but training and enablement set you up for success. "Make it happen" mentality required. The plane is definitely being built while it's in the air, so patience and proactive communication with the product team is essential, but things are constantly improved as a direct result of clear, constructive, public feedback.

Avantages

I have only been at Rippling for a month at this point, but so far so good! The onboarding and training are top tier. Definitely the best and most in depth training I have gotten at a company. My manager is great and was also an IC at Rippling for a couple years before moving into management which I really like because they understand what it is like to be an account manager here. There seems to be a lot of opportunity for career growth here. I am definitely excited to be here!

Inconvénients

Not really a con but you HAVE to be self sufficient here. People are willing to help but they are also very busy so it might be a while before you get a response to a question. It was an adjustment at first but I think it makes you a better employee. If you need hand holding probably not the job for you. I don't really have any true cons yet, but ask me again in 6 months lol.
