Avantages

Working remotely, flexible schedule, some great peers who genuinely work hard and want to do a good job. Opportunity to work from anywhere on Earth, as long as you have an internet connection.

Inconvénients

People suddenly disappear without warning - I assume they were fired, in most cases. I've shown up to meetings with clients where the Sales person who set up the meeting didn't attend, and I found their internal profile(s) had been inactivated without explanation, and their closest teammates had no idea they were gone. Everyone seems so overworked and stressed out all the time, that there's virtually no social interaction on Slack despite having hundreds of social channels and ERGs. Managers with no prior experience in their department's areas of expertise are leading teams working in these areas, and seem to have a habit of overriding their SMEs when the SMEs say something shouldn't be done X way. It is my belief, based on conversations with managers in my department, that Remote has a large budget to deal with paying the fines for breaking the laws they didn't research proactively before entering a new market, all in the name of being competitive and closing deals quickly. I don't personally believe that they abide by their internal whistleblower policy, so I wouldn't recommend thinking you're protected if you blow the whistle internally or externally. If you're a client of Remote, I urge you to do audits of your own company's compliance when it comes to payroll, time off policies, and benefits for your employees who are employed by Remote on your behalf, especially in the most legally complex markets. If they try to withhold documents that you request to review as part of your audit, there's probably good reason they're trying to prevent you from reviewing them as part of your audit.

Multiple interviews with people having different partnership roles gives a good idea of how the communication goes internally and the overall company culture

If you're looking for a quick hire, having multiple interviews is not for you

Great people, great direct managers.

Inconvénients

Leadership is disconnected. Very much the throw it away if it doesn't work mentality.
