Avantages

- The opportunity to make a ton of money and work with smart, capable peers. - Fantastic product

Inconvénients

- You will have no life outside of work. It is normal to work 14-16 hours a day, every day, plus weekends. - Expected to onboard with the worst enablement team in history. People who have never sold a day in their life, and your success/future is in their hands. They fail you in certifications on purpose, like a torture mind game. - If you have a bad or new manager, you are done for. Zero guidance, and if they are under pressure, it's your job on the line. - There is an expectation that you will become an expert in all aspects of the platform within the first few weeks. It's nearly impossible. - Multiple reports of marriages and families being destroyed because of this job.

Avantages

By and large, customers really like the product. A great fit exclusively for individuals early in their careers with zero external obligations (e.g. no relationship, no children, no friends you intend to speak to or spend time with), no dependency on work-life balance, and a desire to make work their entire identity. If you want to log 100+ hour weeks surrounded by a highly elitist culture, you will thrive here.

Inconvénients

Do not be blinded by the marketing or media coverage. The 'rocketship' narrative is sustained by extreme human collateral. Long-term employees who are candid will tell you that the environment demands the total sacrifice of your health, relationships, and personal life. Retention is incredibly low for a reason - working here is not sustainable if you do not maintain absolute, total focus on Ramp alone. As you can read in every other recent review, work-life balance is fundamentally nonexistent across the entire organization. Expect to work 7 days a week, 15-16 hours a day. Calendar micromanagement is severe; you will be reprimanded for a 15-minute block for lunch or brief breaks between hours of consecutive meetings. The culture resembles an elitist hazing environment in a corporate setting. Management relies heavily on psychological pressure, intimidation, and criticism designed to diminish confidence rather than develop skills. The company looks successful from the outside, while the people working within absolutely crumble under the unsustainable pressure. While the base compensation packages look attractive on paper, when calculated against the actual hourly output required to survive here, you are effectively taking a massive pay cut compared to almost any other market-rate SaaS role. Take the reviews here seriously. Do not fall into the trap of believing your work ethic or boundaries will make your experience different.
