Avantages

The hours (earliest time is 8:30am-5pm and latest shift is 10am-6:30pm), weekends and paid holidays off, and the work from home opportunity.

Inconvénients

The medical benefits this year are horrendous (for almost $150 a month you only get a high deductible insurance plan where you have to pay for every doctor visit and presciption in full until you reach the deductible of over $1.5k - so no more copays for doctor visits unless you can afford to pay for the premium plan of $300 a month), the pay (some people have been working with the company for almost a decade and only make a few dollars more than a new hire), ability to move up in the company (unless you are favored you will not get promoted - you can have years of experience with the company, great attendance, production, QA - however they will find any excuse to give it to someone with less experience that they prefer), training is a joke (most people do not get trained by an actual company trainer, mostly by a co-worker and the SOPs are extremely outdated), and the upper management which makes this job unbearable (if I was not able to work from home I would have quit over a year ago because of upper management).

Avantages

The voluntary separation offer was good.

Inconvénients

I and hundreds of colleagues were transferred from Providence Health & Services to R1. We were told we were guaranteed our jobs for a year. They started offering voluntary separation packages less than a year in. This was suspicious. I didn't take the first couple of offers, but eventually I did - things were feeling uneasy. Since leaving I've heard that there were several layoffs. R1's India team has taken over a lot of the coding we were doing. In the reviews I read before we started with R1 I know losing jobs to the India team was common. I'm glad I left when I did but it's been hard finding a new job.
