What seems like a con really isn't --- You have to understand that the salary may not be as high but the NO lay off situation far out weighs a temporary salary increase especially in these times.

Flexible with overtime generally.Work close with management .Very little guess work in what is expected and or needed by the employer.

Weak lower management.Even when supervision has a great degree of knowledge the lack of people/management skills leads to moral and production set backs.
