Inconvénients
I was transferred to a different department on my fourth day, despite being hired for a specific role and supervisor. The new department’s management style relied heavily on public criticism during team meetings, which created a discouraging and uncomfortable work environment. Frequent late-night meetings (often 7–11 p.m.) were required due to reliance on overseas software teams. This created significant work–life balance issues and slowed the process of resolving necessary software updates. Commute expectations were misrepresented. After shuttle systems were implemented, the commute became longer than my previous job in downtown Nashville, despite taking this role to work closer to home. Basic facilities were inadequate. The number of restrooms did not appear sufficient for the number of employees, and water pressure issues were common. Overall, the business model and internal communication processes felt unsustainable, leading to frequent delays, misunderstandings, and frustration across teams.
