Avantages

Fun and casual environment with a great CEO (at the time).

Inconvénients

Needed more developed and experienced sales and marketing leadership to support the sales team. Marketing was non-existent practically. Could have been/could be a great product, if hiring professional, competent and relationship-driven sales employees were of value.

Avantages

It really did feel like a family at OpenKey. Management worked to guide employees towards success, as a parent would. While the lighthearted atmosphere allowed for jokes and fun between employees.

Inconvénients

My time at OpenKey was not exactly a profitable time for the hospitality industry, as such, funds were tight.

Avantages

It was a great place to learn new roles, grow up in leadership, and expand your abilities. I enjoyed the laid back environment, and I was able to contribute to actual change.

Inconvénients

It's a small team, so the longer you work there, the more responsibility you accumulate. Investment also ebbs and flows according to whim so you will have times of great fortune and times of layoffs.
