      Avantages

      My team was friendly and supportive. Sometimes there are growth opportunities through new projects or changing teams, IF your manager supports your career growth AND they are enabled to do so.

      Inconvénients

      It's a very niche product in a post-cloud era. They, like many on-prem storage/compute shops are vying for a complicated niche that's continuously made more complex by advancements in cloud offerings and development practices. I had 9+ years at NetApp on 2 different products. In general I'm grateful for the experience, but it has been a challenge to translate that experience to noteworthy hiring companies - especially if I expect to keep my previous salary.

      Avantages

      Amongst the top companies in the data storage industry = company stability.

      Inconvénients

      If you'd ask me a year or 2 ago, I would have given the company 5 stars. But, as with most tech companies now, they've started to follow the trend of return to office, regardless of logic. There's little to no room for exceptions and the company would rather sacrifice productivity regardless if they know the hardships for people living in metros (one way commute to the NY or SJC office can take 2 hours one way!) - that and there's no commuter benefits. You have to pay out of pocket and live in fear of not receiving your bonus if you miss the "thrive together" quarterly requirements.
