Avantages

Netapp has some of the best leaders at one time - Dan Warmenhoven and others - who had the vision, passion, drive and discipline to get and keep great people. I had the honor of working at NetApp during its best time.

Inconvénients

Engineers running the company believing that if customers "just could understand" how great the products are everything will be ok - rather than listening to the customers and the market. Unfortunately now the leaders - especially in sales - are no longer the type you want to charge up a hill for. They are in protect mode - because they could be next to be gone - like some many before them. it is a shame but at this point I would stay away.

Avantages

- Not the worst pay around - Opportunity for advancement if you get the right management - Good financial benefits (ESPP, 401k options, mega backdoor Roth) - The one thing GK is good at is driving up the company stock price. Hope you got yourself some RSUs

Inconvénients

- NetApp hasn't made a new product in 10 years, so you'll be hard pressed to find development work that isn't directly tied to supporting what was built before then. - Very little innovation other than weekend-project-level AI tools - Health and dental benefits are not great - Upper management is completely detached from reality
