Avantages

Good place to gather up experience for the first 5 years. You get to learn a lot of different things for 5 years. Stay focus on your task and you will learn a lot from senior people

Inconvénients

After 5 years then its dog eat dog world in the corporate. If you are a very good talker and socialize with the right people then you will have a bright future in the company. It does not need a brain to go up in management chain, but you do need a loud mouth. If you are a pure engineer and would like to excel in technical side, then you will get left out and get ordered around by loud mouth and there will be little chance to get anything from management since they only see you as the dude who get things done but who cares otherwise.
