Avantages

You can work from home, the compensation and benefits are nice, and the people are (mostly) nice.

Inconvénients

Unless you are one of the few people who has worked for MapLarge for 3+ years, you have no hope of lasting. There is a revolving door of people, most of whom are very talented, who the CTO quickly dismisses for not "integrating" well enough, despite the fact his expectations are as foggy as a San Francisco morning and as unexpectedly evolving as rapidly the influenza virus. Additionally, instead of spending fifteen minutes or so on the typical "standup" meeting, MapLarge has two such meetings that routinely last an hour long. The team is constantly in a hurry to get everything done, and this contributes to it.

Avantages

The technology is cutting edge and ingenuity is highly encouraged. The culture promotes empowerment, giving employees the opportunity to lead when appropriate and support others when the mission calls for it. There is also opportunity to contribute to different programs in various capacities earing valuable experience outside of your core competencies.

Inconvénients

There can be a steep learning curve when getting familiar with the various programs, technologies, and clients. However, support is available, and employees are willing to go out of their way to help one another.
