Avantages

Interview process was awesome, the area leaders seem to genuinely care about their team(s). Compensation across the board seems about 10% or more above market average which is nice. Peers have stated they make similar to previous banks but it is different at Key in that your base salary is much higher, but your commission potential is a bit lower (which I prefer/makes working less stressful- taking care of clients without "selling"). Everyone I work with so far is awesome, career development is emphasized with structured plans by managers on how you get where you want to go. I've worked at three other large institutions, and Key is the best company overall- based on my experience and valued I have outlined.

Inconvénients

Only con so far is the health insurance.. Only high deductible plans (two to choose from) are pretty bad. They do give you a $500 HSA on January 1.. But I just wish I could pay more for a non-high deductible plan.

Avantages

Flexibility is what sells this place as a great place to work. Hybrid schedule, great PTO, no guilt trips for needing time off for family matters.

Inconvénients

Your experience will vary greatly based on your manager. One asset manager can freely call in or wfh without worry where another AM may be reprimanded for the same. The insurance department is completely inept. Borrowers are constantly threatening to sue because our insurance dept management sucks. Very little training across most departments. Some people work very very hard, others dont work at all, there doesnt seem to be much oversight there. When a manager tells their employee "dont expect to get promoted next year" with no guidance or encouragement, you pretty much kill all motivation for that employee to do better. They will hire people as senior staff and pay them way more than their seasoned employees make, and then tell their seasoned employees not to expect a senior promotion.
