      Avantages

      Consistent employer and Strong job security in most cases.

      Inconvénients

      Slow to adapt to change. Strong internal culture which is hard to change. Too much middle management with lack of depth of knowledge in their area. Silos of knowledge and information and inconsistent answers. Multiple SPOFs within the organisation. Proclivity to outsource to the cheapest provider, who when ultimately fail to deliver adds work for permanent staff members or admin/technical debt.

      Avantages

      Working hours due to the fact of being a parent with children in school, lovely people to chat and bond connections.

      Inconvénients

      Ops experts with no clue of processes, managers without access to help and support the workers, bullying, all these can lead to burnout if you're not strong enough mentally to take it. Expressing your opinions or disagreeing with management is not well received and can quickly turn into a toxic environment. The manager lacked understanding of the actual work and processes, which made things even more frustrating. If you value a healthy work-life balance, this isn't the right place. I stayed for four years, but I wouldn't make the same mistake again.
