Avantages

- Flexible work schedule - Generous PTO

Inconvénients

- Upper management/HR do not care for the employees - Employees are under appreciated. There are so many smart, kind, hardworking employees that are never shown the appreciation and kindness they deserve - Compensation is very low and raises are insignificant

You have a good point regarding recognition---that's why we implemented the "Make A Difference" campaign last year. Since August 2019, so many employees have shared how their teammates across the organization are helping each other every day! We are also implementing a service recognition program (slowed down by Coronavirus), because in today's world and especially in technology companies, it's rare to have so many employees with 3, 5, and 10 years of service. And lastly, senior leaders have been reviewing pay practices, which most of us recognize as the ultimate individual recognition, to ensure that our overall compensation is competitive within the market. In fact, many departments saw a positive impact as part of their annual salary increase in the last review cycle. If you have more specific ways we can recognize employee's contributions, please reach out to me.

Avantages

- Depending on the team, you can have a good work/life balance - Given they hire a lot of new grads who are building a community in the area, it's pretty easy to get involved in social groups and make friends in the office

Inconvénients

- Depending on the team, you may have poor work/life balance - Top-down culture - many typical responsibilities a given role would have (at least in engineering or product) in other companies are separated out. While not necessarily good or bad, it can catch people who are used to more autonomy in their decisions off-guard - Slow growth trajectory in roles and experience / learning which can be unfortunate for those starting off in their careers - Immature feedback / leveling loop - It was fairly common that people got feedback or temperature checks from more casual conversations with peers or other teams rather than formal reviews or manager conversations
