      Avantages

      I sadly chose to depart Harding Loevner recently for relocation reasons after many years. The management team at the firm is exceptional and has produced a consistent track record of strong growth and a collaborative, success-oriented culture. There is a continual focus on succession planning which has resulted in numerous career growth opportunities for employees that don't exist at many other active managers.

      Inconvénients

      The firm's location in Bridgewater, NJ is roughly an hour south of NYC which can make for a challenging commute, though there are people that do it regularly.

      - Additional compensation - Access to senior management

      Inconvénients

      - Managers are seemingly never disciplined for mistakes they make, which is certainly not the case with junior employees - Little to no opportunity to move up past a Senior Associate on the Client Management Team - The family-like culture that the firm advertises exists...but not outside of the Investment Team. Particularly in Client Management, it is show up, work through your lunch, and get as much work done in near silence as possible before the end of the day
