Avantages
Very easy work, much more so than other retail jobs. The customer service aspect is a cakewalk. Almost all their customer are totally delighted to be at the Goodwill.
Inconvénients
It's not remotely challenging work, and they are not eager to make it challenging by expanding your skill set. The work environment is also a bit strange - 5 or 6 people would be on lunch at the same time, but the break room would be completely silent. No one talked to each other, even when it was completely appropriate to do so. But the dealbreaker for me was their scheduling. They want your whole life. You're "not allowed" to go to school if you're working there full time, even though their definition of full time starts at only 32 hours/week. So essentially, they offer you what amounts to an entry level retail job, and then deprive you of any opportunity to better that position.
