Avantages

Lots of freedom and flexibility to define and run your coaching practice to fit your style and goals. The internal pairing with an existing Mentor is a great asset. Training and coaching material is decent. The content is still very 2001-ish despite the 2024 launch of the online portal. Training is 90% how to sell coaching services, 10% how to be a great coach.

Inconvénients

Lead generation is 100% your responsibility. Doesn't matter if you had a VP role in a Fortune 500 company prior to this, if you don't figure out how to get to and talk to a small/medium business owner, you're toast. You need to learn this very quickly. Most successful coaches are also good consultants, but this is a hard transition for a Sr Mgr who got better at leading than doing... here you do everything. Zero leads from the Home Office, every penny you make comes from clients you brought in yourself.
