Avantages
I loved working in admissions, and found that my coworkers and supervisors were great. So many amazing opportunities to further my educations and travel that I probably wouldn't have been afforded otherwise. Plus, awesome networking.
Inconvénients
Basically no room for growth, and the compensation is nowhere near what should be given for this role (sometimes, I was working 75+ hours a week, but exempt salary didn't give overtime). The "one university" concept is really poor, and the Prescott campus nearly always gets the short end of the stick compared to Daytona Beach. University administration (C-suite and up) is pretty difficult to work with, and our department was almost never recognized for our efforts by upper university. And the accounting department is painful to work with.
