Avantages
- No pushback on vacations - Open to using new tech - Direct managers were nice and fought for developers - Dev team was always willing to pitch in and help
Inconvénients
- Pay is well below industry standard for geographic area - Promotions and/or pay increases are rarely given even when the firm is having a great sales year. - If the firm has extra $$$ it will spend it on hiring new developers instead of taking care of the developers it has on staff - The firm expects each developer to be on stand by 24/7 for their own codebase. This would be fine if they showed appreciation when year end review comes, but nope. -Lack of diversity in management
