Avantages
Target is an ok place to work. The stores are clean and well lit and security is always taken seriously. The starting pay is ok but it is hard to promote. The benefits package is comprehensive and there are several options to choose from so you can choose the one that fits your life best. You can get up to $3000 a year towards schooling for reimbursement.
Inconvénients
Target only promotes from within 10% of the time. The raise you get is a fixed dollar amount added to your base pay so someone being hired from outside the company can easily be hired in at a higher salary than an internal promotion. Too many of the policies and procedures are only given lip service so that it all sounds good on paper but there is not enough follow through.
