Avantages

Fully remote, laptop provided. Good team members and very helpful. Opportunities to learn new skills.

Inconvénients

Low payrate for the experience required. No personal approach during hiring process. Too long initial interview, which you have to record and send. Training is not very relevant to what you have to do and very long. No training on the main software used to prepare tax returns. Forced to take calls with clients for the last week or two, with no options for other work. Can be asked to do odd tasks, not agreed in advance prior to job start.

Thank you for sharing your experience as a Tax Expert. We’re glad to hear you appreciated the remote flexibility, the support from your team, and the opportunities to learn new skills. We also hear your concerns about compensation, the hiring and training process, and the clarity of role expectations. We understand how important it is to feel prepared and supported, especially in a seasonal role. Your feedback about training relevance, software onboarding, and task assignments is valuable, and we’re actively reviewing how we can improve these areas for future tax seasons. If you’re open to it, we invite you to also share your feedback via HR Connect, and we’ll ensure it is shared with our People Experiences team. We appreciate your input—it helps us create a better experience for our experts and the customers they serve.

Avantages

Benefits are amazing, medical insurance, vision and dental. Company match on 401K and volunteer time off.

Inconvénients

They keep making decisions to outsource jobs to contract workers who don't share the same value in training or customer care. Oh they say they do but when you catch the listening to music so loud you can't hear the customer, or literally snoring on the line they can't do anything because of the way the contracts are set up. It is up to the contract company and the contract company just needs warm bodies. They did not even supply enough people doing our busiest season this year to co or the shifts that were required in the contract. So good luck with that. They will always eventually lay you off.
