Avantages
Intuit has an amazing corporate culture - with employee networks and engaging events, you meet fantastic people in different departments with whom you will forge a long lasting friendship. Intuit is a weird place because everyone automatically likes each other... The people are great.
Inconvénients
For the Canadian business, everything is skewed to growing in Mississauga and closing up shop in Edmonton. For the past 3 fiscal years I've been at Intuit, jobs have been cut at the Edmonton site - two reorgs have affected me. It's only a matter of time before the Edmonton office is shut down for good. It's hypocritical to say that Intuit is looking for the best talent, when they will be limiting themselves to the Mississauga area only. They want to have a bigger pool of talent, as it was explained to us... So quantity is more important than quality? Empty/false promises of being promoted are also an epidemic at Intuit. As well, telling us that the job cuts are to have everyone in one office to work more efficiently is a band-aid excuse. If co-location doesn't work, then why aren't the handful of US offices merging in Mountain View? Salary is also not great - they compensate by giving non-cash awards, but hard cold money would be more appreciated. Intuit has a history of under-paying employees.
