Avantages

(+) Good salary. (+) Good benefits. (+) Nice facilities - nice building, nice offices (but sound easily passes in & out), gym & fitness classes, cafeteria, game room, walking path, covered parking lot.

Inconvénients

(-) It used to be a friendly company that cared about its customers & employees, but then became all about the bottom line regardless of the impact to employees' outside lives & health and the quality of the product. (-) Very tight deadlines with lots of changes added to each release & new releases packed very close together so no time to catch your breath or make improvements. (-) Features & bug fixes driven by marketing, not engineering. (-) Marketing tended not listen to engineering in regards to whether the proposals were a good idea or not. (-) Marketing tended to make changes seemingly just to be able to say they made changes despite the changes adding no value to the customer. (-) Senior leaders did not seem to have a good understanding of technology, software, the software development cycle, or how to inspire & keep good talent. (-) Leadership seemed only interested in shareholders which generally works in the short term but not long term.

Avantages

Benefits are amazing, medical insurance, vision and dental. Company match on 401K and volunteer time off.

Inconvénients

They keep making decisions to outsource jobs to contract workers who don't share the same value in training or customer care. Oh they say they do but when you catch the listening to music so loud you can't hear the customer, or literally snoring on the line they can't do anything because of the way the contracts are set up. It is up to the contract company and the contract company just needs warm bodies. They did not even supply enough people doing our busiest season this year to co or the shifts that were required in the contract. So good luck with that. They will always eventually lay you off.
