Avantages

Good benefits which still include decent healthcare, pension and 401k. Vacation standard amongst piers. Depending on the office area, the environment is easy to work in.

Inconvénients

Governmental regulation of coal and clean air laws that the EPA admits won't affect carbon emissions would cost utilities billions to enact or they close plants. Business units often have redundant departments

Avantages

FirstEnergy is a big company with a lot of growth that I've seen firsthand. Employees are helpful and all have the shared goals of keeping reliability of the electric grid. The pay is decent and stays competitive with the market rates as they do reviews consistently and evaluate. Its a great company that is trying to do better after misguided leads hip in the past

Inconvénients

Some executive leadership vision is not shared with lower level employees. The recent transition from WFH back to the office has left employees such as myself wondering why its not role based WFH.

As covid came upon us, sharing the time in-office was necessary but challenging however the team effort worked well so we could all get our required work done
