Avantages

Great salary Great community You will learn a lot, quickly

Inconvénients

Antiquated technology - lots of my work was on programming and maintaining PLCs from the early 90's On call 24/7 - you will get called to the field in the middle of the night, on weekends, on holidays, and while you're on a date. You will not get compensated for these calls. No mileage reimbursement - I drove over 13,000 miles for this company without being reimbursed Unappreciated work - as an ELECTRICAL field engineer specifically, your job will essentially be a glorified electrical technician. No matter how many 10pm nights you put in, the technical innovations you come up with, or the the millions of dollars of revenue you generate, you will always be out ranked by the project managers and the business team. Sad but true

Avantages

Good pay and a pension

Inconvénients

Everything else. Benefits are lackluster, Flex Your Day policies are elusive. The company changes everything all the time so that a large portion of your time is spent finding new links to things on the portal, figuring out who to contact in various departments and in what country just to get a simple answer to a question. No one stays in the same role long enough to get good at their job. Morale is terrible.
