Avantages

You get to work on big name clients, which sometimes leads to interesting work; there are smart leaders who work there, who care about their teams, but that's a limited few

Inconvénients

highly political structure; hr confuses perks for culture - having free ice cream on Fridays and free fruit does not mean you have a fun culture; junior staff is compensated poorly and routinely treated badly as Edelman never trains people to be good managers - they put all the focus on "managing up," which can be a good thing, but when managers are allowed to see their staff as people to throw under buses, "managing up" doesn't work; while they say you "own your career path," they put in numerous roadblocks to it - ultimately, your career is linked to your team lead and what they "volun-tell" you to do and which opportunities they give you

Avantages

Great clients. Great people to work with.

Inconvénients

Office politics. Silly things that were sold to the client that just did not make sense.

Avantages

I worked with some of the brightest and best people in the business. Most of them are no longer with the company. Some good clients, and nice office space.

Inconvénients

Very limited opportunities for growth. During my time they reduced promotions to only once a year, and made many excuses for promoting as few people as possible (despite becoming the first "$1B" agency at that time). Morale was extremely low. People were forced to come into an office with nobody they actually worked with. Common to be passed from manager to manager. At one point I had 6+ managers within a 10-month span.
