Avantages
Multidisciplinary environment is scientifically stimulating and teaches PhD students to think outside of the box. Close collaboration with industry, regular presentations. There is a dedicated team of volunteers to organize regular socializing activities.
Inconvénients
Lack of in house expertise and specialized equipment. PhD students need to travel a lot to universities. Leeuwarden is at least 1h away from most of the Dutch universities.
