    Inconvénients

    Longevity has more weight here than fast learners that have sharp minds and can make improvements with procedures and production goals. The people who are supposed to train you in the AR department do not like to share their knowledge. They prefer to keep it to themselves and hold the AR reps accountable and then act like it is the AR reps faults when production goals aren’t met.

    Avantages

    Concept is great. You do your work, follow the guidelines/policies, and you get paid (and probably will get a bonus check, quarterly). I was told, when I first started, if you follow the policies (keep your view age low, stay out of the drama, etc..) then management does not bother much. This was the case until June 2018. I am rating this job a 4/5 stars because it was a great place to work until just recently.

    Inconvénients

    You must volunteer for all overtime and never say no to anything or else you get on the bad side of management. If you misunderstand anything management says, it is on you and you become a target. All supervisors in this area start to turn on you and what used to be ok is not ok any more. They will seek out reasons to send you home or write you up or make you re-do things if you are a target or are on their bad side because you refuse to take on overtime or go the extra mile with a smile for any of the managers. While some people arrive chronically late, you will be written up for being late once that week.

    I'm sorry if you did not earn your MAXIMUM bonus every single quarter in 2018 because your AR was not where it needed to be. Here are some suggestions.
    When issues are reported to you, maybe you should take some action instead of pushing back to the employee that reported them to you? Maybe you should not PUNISH the employee by stacking work onto them.
    Maybe AR would not be as high if you took initiative by doing some work/took some action yourself, instead of standing back back your desk and gossiping about the next employee that you were planning on firing. Just a thought.
    Also, maybe reconsider re-distributing the workload among other people who are working more efficiently rather than piling more work onto those who are feeling overloaded (and underpaid). Did you ever consider maybe that is why AR is not going down???

    Avantages

    The pay & bonus is great if you can grind out double the reasonable RVUs but ...

    Inconvénients

    the patient care is worthless when you are barely looking at the patient to move to the next. I have seen way too many things get lost, missed, passed over in the rush.
    Bad healthcare.

    Figure out how to not put your people on a treadmill of unrealistic RVUs so they can actually take care of patients.

    Avantages

    Good pay, flexible schedule, great pto package, good place to start when straight out of school

    Inconvénients

    Stress level is very high, high turnover rate due to high expectations of audits and production rates. Heartless management team.

    Remember that you were once coders and just bc you’re in management doesn’t mean that you should treat the coders as if they are worthless.
