    Avantages

Strong company going through some changes at the time. Good international presence, training was solid, well known in the industry.

Rigid structure and very protective middle management functions. Little adaptability to change in the industry based on a respectable past success - but this is a weakness not a strength

    Avantages

People are great, management is understanding and benefits are great.

    Inconvénients

Lots of red tape, pay is usually below industry average, hard to move up unless management likes you personally.

    Avantages

An overall great atmosphere and the Social Committee keeps the staff interactive. For a large corporation the staff are very friendly. Salary is competitive.

    Inconvénients

The premium coding system is confusing. Heavy workload.

    Conseils à la direction

Consult with the Underwriting Assistants and find out what their issues are. Treat them as equals. It will help morale.

J'ai travaillé chez Liberty Mutual Insurance en contrat permanent (Plus de 10 ans)

    Avantages

Salaries are competitive with other insurance companies

    Inconvénients

Lays offs, lay offs, and more lay offs. Good luck trying to get promoted. They take it being a great place to get promoted, but it is nearly impossible.

    Conseils à la direction

Step out of your cave or office every now and then and actually talk to your employees. There are good people trying to get promoted only to be turned down by people with far less skills. I worked for LM for over ten years.

Je travaille chez Liberty Mutual Insurance à plein temps (Plus de 5 ans)

    Avantages

Company is good, it’s fortune 100 so you get those big perks. FTO is amazing (with a flaw) but the potential to make serious money is there. 6 figures is doable first year! You don’t have to be clogged in an office, you can work from home freedom is yours just produce work.

    Inconvénients

It’s slimy business, it’s an industry where all the competitors are paying for referrals. (Which is illegal) on top of that a system that doesn’t cater to over 50% of the population, so in order to sell you have to play with the “gray area” help the customer by sugar coating things so that you have a shot of selling. Most if not all of the super successful reps are related to someone in sales in either a large auto dealership or mortgage broker. If you’re okay with the “grey area” you’ll do fine, if you play by the rules you’ll hate it. Pay is simple you make below 55k starting off once you go on plan salary goes down and commission takes the majority of the share with time renewals pile on. It’s a dying field most companies are going online/phone to underpay employees to cut premium costs.

    Conseils à la direction

Give employees better pay when away on Vacation ! Go away for a week come home to a horrible pay check !

Great benefits and pay, flexible work options

    Inconvénients

Too much change, too many reorgs, org design is entirely too complex to get work done.

    Conseils à la direction

Simplify how things are organized. Stick withva vision for longer than two years.
