Whether you will have a great time heavily depends on the team you are put in. In some teams, there is heavy pressure on the junior devs, with a lot of turnover. And most of these junior devs are too shy to say no to work, and are heavily taken advantage of as managers tend to make everything "urgent". A lot of people end up stressing out a lot during their entire first year, as if it were normal to start a job with heavy pressure. A lot of employees are on temporary visa which does not help with the pressure to keep the job. Also I have heard of hazing in some teams in the chicago office.
