    Avantages

    Hôtel récent et moderne, bien situé, collègues super, travail polyvalent, clientèle très fidèle et amicale, des clients du monde entier, outils de travail modernes et efficaces

    Inconvénients

    niveau des salaires très bas, fréquentation de l'établissement en hausse, charge de travail supplémentaire sans compensation, pas assez de reconnaissance pour le travail effectué

    Conseils à la direction

    Lorsqu'on a du personnel efficace il faut essayer de le motiver afin de le garder en place.

    The only pro with this job is that the employees you work with are decent people and at least your guaranteed hours

    Inconvénients

    Where to start. I could think of 10 reasons why this job is not worth it. Walked in for an interview. I was purposely waited out for an hour. If they want you to respect their time , they should respect yours , later heard that this is a common tactic for the manager to see who's desperate enough for a job. He showed up to the interview with the attitude that said "I don't have time to care". Within... the first week, I heard every single other employee with their work horror stories. There is no safety procedures , you call with an emergency they don't take you seriously. There is ZERO SAFETY TRAINING which is especially needed for night shift workers . There are no contracts to sign once on the job. There's no written worded explanations about how the place is run. Only a booklet of the computer system they use for the hotel. When on the phone with management they often lose their professionalism and will tell you to "keep your personal business at home" but then will turn around and harrass you and Demean you. Many times and not surprising to other employees that have worked there for years, the management has no respect for his employees or the customers. His attitude is safe to say regarded as snappy, arrogant and rude. They do not appreciate you going the extra mile. They do not appreciate your efforts to doing your job right. There is no actual opportunity to succeed and move forward in the position. There is a lot of immaturity and family drama with this company. If you make mistakes they hound you for half an hour wasting your time and theirs, however Carry on childish attitudes and reactions towards each other. the manager personally has been sued for their Ill behavior on numerous occasions. As an employee they do not respect you. There is no proper training time. They train you 2 or 3 shifts and then throw you in on your own. It is a LOT of information to organize and get familiar with. They need to set you up to succeed, and give you the room to grow as an employee. They do not respect your time. If you have other commitments or a second job, they will ask you to reconsider having it during non working hours, instead of doing their best to accommodate, even if your request is not unreasonable. If you ask to work part time .... Be ready to be scheduled full time. They do what they want and they think the method works well for them. The job is minimum wage. Which in normal circumstances is not uncommon . However the other company under the same name, not apart of these peoples ownership , pays more for the same position. IMPORTANT NOTE TO CONSIDER, THEY TRY TO GET AWAY WITH NOT PAYING YOU YOUR FULL PAY AND NOT PAYING ON TIME. they expect you to hound them for your pay for the work YOU put in. But have no shame in trying to hold you to higher standards and responsibilities they wouldn't do themselves. If you want to get snapped at on a regular basis disrespected, and be unprepared for the job. .... This is the place to go.

    Some of the best reasons to work at Holiday Inn Express is that there are plenty of opportunities for career advancement, there is free food for the staff, the daily work is always evolving and changing, bonuses, lots of freedom and mobility, and lastly, you can eat, service, and interact with a variety of people and make connections.

    Some disadvantages from working at Holiday Inn Express is long hours, sometimes the job can be tough or competitive, and lastly, there are high standards and deadlines.

    great people to work with, everyone is friendly, benefits are good and you get employee rate for IHG hotels as well as you can sign people up for the IHG rewards and get reward points yourself which can be redeemable for free nights and merchandise

    Smarten up and treat your employees better. Witnessed management literally yelling at a front desk agent who was in training and calling her names like "stupid" more than once. Almost every employee is over worked and underpaid. Save yourself and apply at the Comfort Inn next door. Same job for an extra $2.50 an hour to start

    Good training, very accommodating when I needed time off, loved my co-workers.

    Inconvénients

    New management tried to cut costs by understaffing. This made everyone very frustrated and turnover increased. They also cut out guest appreciation night which lost customer loyalty and started to use plastic cutlery in-order to cut costs of paying a dishwasher. This went against their proposed environmental standards.
