Weak leadership, limited culture, and an underwhelming go-to-market execution.
Avantages
EX and CX are good products. While they have some limitations for large enterprise customers, they are well built and help companies reduce costs and improve efficiency.
Inconvénients
Freshworks’ positioning has never been very clear. The leadership team is not at the level expected from a leading software company, especially when it comes to ownership and accountability. Layoffs happen regularly and often seem difficult to justify. Many employees are simply coasting, while the most motivated and ambitious people tend to leave quickly. The company culture is almost non-existent. Office attendance is closely monitored, even when employees need to be with customers. The sales role is also poorly designed. Accelerators are weak, quotas are managed quarterly, brand awareness is low, marketing lacks resources, and budgets are limited. Most importantly, the company feels driven by the CFO rather than by product or growth leaders. The mindset is focused on cost reduction rather than innovation, ambition, and growth. Overall, a company I would not recommend for ambitious sales professionals looking for strong leadership, a high-performance culture, and long-term career development.
