    Avantages

    The people that worked in the Lethbridge location prior to conversion were all knowledgeable and we maintained a extremely high level of service, great culture to be apart of.

    Inconvénients

    When Sun life was taken over by Delaware Life management focus was all about moving the company to the states while trying to keep it covered up as best as possible to the clients. I remember my manager telling me to try and avoid the topic with my clients. When the conversion took place it was extremely flawed and the reps in Lethbridge who serviced just fine for years were now the punching bag to clients and management didn't really seem to care.

    Listen to the people on the phones. They are your biggest asset and know how to make the customer feel better. Fix your systems too.

    Avantages

    Used to be a great company to work for with good benefits, decent pay, consistent schedule with evenings and weekends off.

    Inconvénients

    After the business was sold from Sun Life to Delaware Life they outsourced to a new company (lowest bidder). This conversion was handled in the worst possible way. The existing employees who wanted to help with ensuring a smooth conversion for the clients to the new service center were insulted and disregarded. The new employees were unable to handle the call volume and forced to work massive overtime to keep the jobs. A company that was known for their excellent customer service now has 1-2 hour waits if you can even get through.

    Listen to the front line staff. We tried to help and make this the best possible conversion but were completely ignored. I doubt the company could be saved at this point but this is the only possible way.

    Avantages

    The people, the culture, the value, those, however, were brought in from Sun Life financial. Delaware Life pretty much borrowed those and destroyed it.

    Inconvénients

    dishonesty, the lethbridge site was promised a permanent position and a whole lot of improvements after purchased from Sun Life. All it was were two years of Delaware Life getting ready to move the operation to Topeka, KS. Effectively ending a solid site tradition in Lethbridge. Something they have been planning for two years but keep promising their employee empty promises. managements often only care about numbers instead of the morale of their employee with some being treated as if they're working with children instead of adults, the company is more concerned in filling in the seat instead of training their employee properly, poor communication chain is also very apparent.

    A very stressful environment to work at

    Nothing. Everyone is leaving in 2015, so good luck keeping the same service Sun Life was famous for.

    Avantages

    Tons of time off, positive environment, good investment in tools and software needed to do your job, 6 week training program.

    Inconvénients

    Feedback is ok, but not enough for folks who are new to the industry in my opinion. Too much focus on folks who have been here 'since the beginning' instead of those who have talent and knowledge.

    Please stop playing favorites with 'tenured' people. The company is less than 5 years old, no one is 'tenured'.

    Avantages

    I work with a great group of people, the hours are flexible, The best part is our new Director she has come and has focused her vision on taking this Indianapolis contact center in the right direction, we have engagement teams, focus teams all the Managers show their support. It really is a fun and nice place to work. and the offer a competitive salary .

    Inconvénients

    I have none at this time Delaware Life is really a great employer

    Avantages

    I have been employed since March 2017 here at Delaware life Insurance. I have had customer service jobs in the past where management didn't speak and looked mean all the time. NO not here ..... We are spoiled ... They love us and we Love them. Managers ... like where did you find them. I am blessed to call Delaware my job. If you ever get the opportunity to interview with them consider your self blessed. I can't leave if I wanted to ... because my job Rock..

    Avantages

    Delaware Life is building a contact center in Indianapolis and is investing heavily in the site. Focus on employee morale and customer service is high. Great pay and benefits for a call center with a positive/friendly environment. Company is stable from a financial standpoint and is growing.

    Inconvénients

    Growth opportunities are just beginning to develop. Since site is so new some structure is still in process.

    Continue to ask for employee feedback as things grow. Continue to bring managers in the business that care about employee satisfaction.

    Avantages

    Chances to work from home, decent pay, great PTO and paid sick time. Free coffee. The tech and software used seem to be a step ahead of other companies. I would recommend this company to anyone looking.

    Inconvénients

    Small company it seems like the opportunities for career growth aren't the best at the moment but I think that will change soon as they seem to be growing

    More consistent team meetings, ask employees for there opinion on how to make work flow better. Do more company events.
