Experience with Alithya from a Talent Acquisition perspective was really disappointing. While the company communicates a lot about employee well-being, openness, collaboration and people-first values, the reality felt very different. There is a strong corporate image on the surface, but behind it, the environment can feel closed, overly political and driven more by appearances than by real support for employees.
The Talent Acquisition environment was not a healthy or motivating one. Management lacked the leadership, transparency and trust needed to help recruiters perform at their best. There was a lot of corporate talk, but very little concrete action when it came to empowering the team, recognizing expertise or creating a genuinely positive work culture.
For a recruiter with seniority and experience, the compensation and recognition did not match the level of responsibility expected. The role felt undervalued, with limited room to bring real strategic input or operate with autonomy. Overall, it was not an environment where I felt Talent Acquisition was respected as a key business function.
In my view, Alithya reflects some of the worst aspects of a corporate culture: a polished external message, a lot of internal “well-being” language, but very little substance behind it. For experienced recruiters looking for trust, transparency, strong leadership and meaningful recognition, this may not be the right environment.
