I have been with driveline going on 2 years! The hours do not come with a set schedule or do they hire full-time merchandisers. You may work 40+ hours in a week but depending on your state you do not receive overtime pay only your regular hour pay. If you have a few stores to go to in one day you receive mileage for everything over 30 miles to and from your home office, I have been told that they give you all of the mileage from your last store for the day but calculating this is not accurate. As well as half your hourly rate while driving! You should prove to the DM's that you are willing to work and willing travel for your work! Call them Thursday or Friday to inform them you are still available to manage projects for them. The DM's have to keep track of 150+ locations and keep them filled! The first few weeks you should receive a call from 6-8 am from a DM to see if you can fill in for someone that didn't show up!! I have never had to stay overnight anywhere. I have had days with total drive time and working hours came out to just over 18 hours! Other weeks I have only had 3 hours of work. It is a great company to get started in the Merchandising field! You can complete team projects that are required to be completed on the date and arrive BEFORE the start time. You will run into a lot of team projects that some or all scheduled team members do not show up. Most of the time your DM can locate others to fill their spots! If you get projects that you are the only employee working on the project most of the time you will be able to change the scheduled date of the project. Sometimes you may only have 2 days to complete it and others you may have up to 4 weeks. Make sure you are completing the work within the allotted times. Most individual projects are set times and can not change the amount due to the payout of the Work Order. You will only see your DM in the event that she needs to see how you work.
