Since 1878, Western University has been committed to serving our communities through the pursuit of academic excellence and by providing students, faculty, and community members with life-long opportunities for intellectual, social, and cultural growth. We seek excellent students, faculty, and staff to join us in what has become known as the "Western Experience" - an opportunity to contribute to a better world through the development of new knowledge, new abilities, new connections, and new ways to make a difference.
The central mission of Western Law is to educate students in the core areas of Canadian law, in analytical skills and in effective legal research, writing and advocacy. We will also provide students with opportunities to apply their legal knowledge and to gain experience in group work, dispute resolution, and leadership skills development.
The Web Developer plays a key role in advancing the Faculty of Law’s website renewal initiative by designing, building, and maintaining accessible, high-quality web experiences across the Faculty’s digital ecosystem. Focused on the implementation of Western’s web template and content management system, the role provides the technical expertise required to support the large-scale migration, optimization, and ongoing sustainability of the Faculty’s web presence.
Working collaboratively with stakeholders across the Faculty, the role translates web strategy and content goals into effective, user-centred digital solutions that enhance the experience of prospective students and external audiences, while ensuring internal information remains accessible through appropriate structures and aligns with accessibility standards and institutional requirements.
