Avantages

Work life balance - typical hours are 8 to 5 with 4 weeks vacation; management encourages time off and gives a good amount of freedom in determining your daily hours and your time off Friendly co-workers - they are always willing to help and are happy to take time out of their day to work with you, but they may be too friendly at times; people don't like to challenge the ideas of others and will rarely show strong disagreements in team settings Laid-back atmosphere - there is typically a low stress level and no one seems to get too worked up about their job

Inconvénients

Below average salary and merit increases - the company claims to have a high level of 'total compensation' including retirement savings plans and good health benefits which is all somewhat true, but many people want a higher base salary level and a higher cash bonus; these pieces of compensation are much more tangible and could be used to attract better talent Lack of driven people - probably due to the lower salaries, limited pay for performance, and the laid back atmosphere; many people seem way to comfortable in their positions and are basically on auto pilot; they come in, do their job, and go home without putting in any extra effort; and, they are rewarded regardless since tenure is valued more than performance

Avantages

Vanguard covered housing for the summer for almost completely free and the people you work with will actively try to develop you.

Inconvénients

The work you do (and therefore your overall experience) can be highly team dependent and team assignment seems to be random

Avantages

Awesome coworkers for young professionals. Paid licensing for a few months.

Inconvénients

Micromanagement is out of control. Incompetent team leaders who are obsessed with power and metrics. Back to back calls, limited support, and nearly impossible effective communication between departments. Zero time to cultivate culture because you are taking calls every second of the day except for 30min/1hr lunch and two 15 minute breaks. You’re locked into your role for over a year (apprenticeship for around 60 days, then a year after promotion to associate) and your team leaders will not approve internal applications unless you are “eligible”.
