Avantages

Stable company with a very in-depth sales training program. There is plenty of opportunity for advancement and the company's reputation in the local market is a strong selling point. Quarterly bonus structure provides plenty of opportunity for extra pay.

Inconvénients

As is the case with most large companies, some processes are very outdated and things move slowly. Every now and then you'd lose a sale to a competitor because they could start service much faster. You are paid commission based on what is billed on the first week of servicing. Unfortunately, the software they use to generate invoices for new customers is heavily reliant on human input and will not bill items correctly if the slightest error occurs, affecting credit towards your numbers and overall commission. This causes issues with sales forecasting when you commit to a specific goal but miss it simply because of a system error. This is very common and very likely to happen to you over and over again, and this is not taken into consideration during your quarterly review.

Avantages

Upper management genuinely cares about their team, and the hiring process is simple and straightforward. Base pay and the monthly stipend are both fair, and I appreciate the company's structure — questions get answered quickly, and you have dedicated team member support. I also like that the role is self-managing, with CDR handling pricing and deal structuring so you can focus on your own performance. Overall, this company really takes care of its employees.

Inconvénients

The pay structure for this role is a bit unique — after a sale closes, the CDR earns commission for the first few months, and then commission transitions over to the drive team. It's certainly not a deal-breaker, just an observation, and I'm not knocking the company for it. All in all, I had a wonderful experience at UniFirst.
