      Avantages

      Weekends and holidays off, plus time off during winter holidays. Campus usually closes for a week to a week and a half. Monday through Friday 7:30/8-4:30/5 shifts. Lots of diversity.

      Inconvénients

      3% annual pay raise, barely covers the rate of inflation here in California per year.

      Great institution serving a diverse student population. Plenty of interesting research labs. Decent benefits.

      Inconvénients

      Commuter school so traffic and parking can be terrible. Select your PI wisely, and ensure healthy work life balance.
