Avantages

Nice kitchen with snacks and drinks

Inconvénients

This company has the worst people in charge I’ve ever met. I was constantly left out and forgotten about, overlooked, and talked down to. There aren’t any people of color or diversity among the company. This is a rich white men club with a sprinkle of women here and there just to even things out. The price of the software and technology do not even out to the salaries as well.

Avantages

I received decent experience at The Inception Company that allowed me to go on to higher paying roles. I genuinely liked the people in my own department at the time.

Inconvénients

Management and communication from the top down was an absolute mess. People at the higher rungs of the company seemed to have very poor understanding overall of what those doing the ground work were doing and how it fit into the company overall. There was a series of lay offs that had people leaving the company that made no sense, laying off people in key roles that were doing more to help the company as they brought in highly paid executives, with no transparency on what they were actually supposed to be contributing and seemingly did not sufficiently contribute enough to justify laying off some people and bringing them in in their place. When I was initially hired, I had high hopes for the company. Then the original CEO stepped down and there was a series of CEO changes that turned working there and keeping your job feel like more of a popularity contest rather than being in a role where you were recognized for your work and achievements. It was clear people were constantly wondering if there was any job stability to be had at all, it was a stressful landscape to be in and I saw otherwise good workers stop giving their best efforts, just trying to get by in the tumultuous day to day the leadership had created. Leadership repeatedly made decisions about which event products to push that made little sense, pushing proprietary products they seemed to be disillusioned about over consistent money makers that pulled in less money for each event but were more reliable over time. People were consistently being pulled from the roles and departments they had expected to work in and excelled at only to be "asked" to drive hours with little benefit to the studios to fill in roles to support their proprietary products so that management could avoid bringing in contractors who were more suited to these roles. By the time I left I could tell morale was low and many good people were stuck feeling unmotivated and confused about the direction of the company. Some people quit as a result of their mismanagement, some people took pay cuts they did not deserve in order to stay in their departments, some were laid off after being given positive performance reviews. All that said, it wasn't the worst place I ever worked, but it is disheartening to see the direction it took.
