Avantages
I have been interested in graphic design, interior design, and architecture for my whole life and found it really difficult to find opportunities in those spaces without the right qualifications, certificates, or experience. However, I feel like being a closet designer at The Container Store has opened my eyes and given me so many more skills to lead into a career in one of those places someday. I have so much fun working here and get to be creative and logical, which is the perfect place for me to be.
Inconvénients
I don’t love working at the register, just because I can’t leave my post unless it’s in the same area as the register, so once I finish my tasks, I’m kind of just waiting around for customers to be ready to check out. I would much rather use my skills on the sales floor or designing a custom space, but it’s part of the job and isn’t a deal breaker at all.
