Avantages

At the lower levels this job is a good opportunity to get out of the really bad work environments that many start out in. To get the job you just need a couple years of continuous experience at one or two other places, and be drug free/ no criminal record. Depending on what project you start with you can expect a solid schedule, understandable system for raises, and a couple of minor perks. It's fairly easy to get promoted to the low level management.

Inconvénients

You can expect several years later to be more or less exactly where you you started in many ways. Moving to the lower management will not significantly effect effect your pay or benefits (but it will give you more work to do.) Upper management positions are risky at best (not much job security), and difficult to move into as they have a tendency to hire from outside your call center. The benefits are really not any better than those available on the market. Taking calls as an agent can be very stressful to the wrong kind of individual, and many have commented on CSR 'burnout'.

Very accomplishing environment, I enjoyed speaking with customers.

Inconvénients

Calls are back to back and you have to meet all metrics.

Avantages

For the most part, I have an open availability. I do however, like not having to work on Sundays. Some campains allow for a 1 hour lunch break. The hiring process was fairly easy. Your equipment is provided. There is opportunity for advancement. They are helpful when it comes to license renewal. Calls are back to back which for me seems to make time go faster. Flexibly as to when you want to take your lunch break. You have to opportunity to assist people without having to feel it was rushed. Off all major holidays.

Inconvénients

Rushed training that may leave some questions unanswered. I feel like I had to figure things out on my own. Getting the assistance you need to help a client took longer than it should, especially when the client is on on hold, waiting for your response. At times some trainers seem to be unprepared for the roll they have taken. Calls are frequently monitored. Not much time between calls. It can take too long to transition from on campain to the next after the project has ended.
